Join us at Birdhouse.farm for a special Farm-to-Table Dinner on October 26, 2024!
This event is a celebration of Stafford County’s natural heritage, local producers, and sustainable agriculture. Enjoy a beautifully crafted meal featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from our farm and other local growers, all while surrounded by the scenic beauty of Birdhouse.farm.
This year, the Stafford County Natural Heritage Award recognizes the lasting impact of regenerative agriculture on Stafford County by honoring Norman Cooper, one of the community's earliest advocates. Norman’s innovative approach to farming and education of local students set a standard for environmental stewardship. We’ll pay tribute to his legacy with a special ceremony, sharing stories of his life, his contributions to the community, and his lasting impact on local agriculture.
What You Can Expect:
Locally Sourced, Seasonal Menu: Our Farm-to-Fork dinner features the best of Stafford County’s farms, celebrating local flavors and fresh produce.
Farm Tours: Take a tour of our fields and wetlands, get a sense of the mission and vision of Birdhouse.farm. See our wonderful 1920 farmhouse and various interesting artifacts inside.
Silent Auction: Bid on unique items and experiences from local businesses and artisans. All proceeds support Birdhouse.farm’s habitat development and activities to stimulate tourism in Stafford County and along the wetlands byways corridor.
Stafford County Natural Heritage Award: Join us as we honor Norman Cooper, a pioneer of regenerative farming in our region, whose practices have inspired generations of farmers.
By attending, you’ll also be supporting Stafford County’s local byways and tourism. We will promote the natural beauty of our region and highlight the importance of nature and agritourism in sustaining local economies.
